Northeast Zone

ODFW will release a 2009 SUMMER Steelhead Forecast for this zone in June 2009.

With the exception of the Hood River, which has one of the easternmost populations of winter steelhead in the Columbia Basin, the rivers in these zones east of the Cascades have only summer steelhead runs. While there can be opportunities to catch these summer fish well into the winter months, the steelhead runs in these rivers will be described in a 2009 Summer Steelhead Forecast in June.
