Areas of Depredating Wolves – Umatilla River Pack

A pair of wolves was first discovered in this area in the fall of 2011. During May of 2012, the wolves were responsible for 2 confirmed depredation events on sheep. The breeding male was trapped and GPS radio-collared in June 2012. The pair produced 2 pups in 2012 that survived to the end of December, making the pack a breeding pair with 4 individuals. During the spring and summer of 2013, the wolves were responsible for 3 confirmed depredations. Updated 9/20/2013
