Family Workshop
When: Saturday and Sunday August 24-25, 2013
Where: near Dallas
Cost: $62.00 per adult and $22.00 per child (minimum age of 9; ages 9-17). Fee includes lunch both days and all needed equipment: guns, archery equipment, black powder rifles, fly fishing equipment, ammunition, ear and eye protection, hunter orange, instruction, and dogs and handlers.

Bring your family and enjoy two days of fly fishing, archery, black powder muzzle loading, trap shooting and a pheasant hunt on Saturday evening or Sunday morning. All participants will receive a safety briefing and practice trap shooting Saturday morning. Saturday, one group will pheasant hunt with a volunteer hunting guide and hunting dog while the other tries archery, fly-fishing, and black powder muzzle loading; the groups switch for the Sunday morning session. Event co-hosted by Owen Denny Chapter of Pheasants Forever, the private game preserve Luckiamute Valley Pheasants, and ODFW.
Other Information: Participants need a hunting license, upland HIP (Harvest information Program), and Upland Game Bird validation. Licenses and tags will not be sold at the event. Participants that do not wish to purchase an Oregon hunting license may purchase a preserve license at the workshop for the hunt portion; Youth age 9-13 without hunter safety certification or licenses/tags may hunt under the Mentored Youth Hunting Program if all program directions are followed (one-to-one ratio between youth and supervising adult; one weapon between youth and supervising adult; adult has all valid license and tags; MYHP registration form completed before workshop).
Primitive camping (no water or electric hookups) will be available on site for free. Lunch is provided on both Saturday and Sunday but all other meals are the responsibility of participants.

Cancellation Policy
Cancellations received two weeks (14 days) prior to any workshop will receive a full refund, less a 25% processing fee. No refunds will be given for cancellations received less than two weeks prior to a workshop. You may however, send a substitute participant in your place.
All cancellations must be in writing. You can fax cancellations to 503-947-6009 or e-mail them to: Darlene.M.Sprecher@state.or.us. In your written cancellation, please state which workshop you will not be attending, your name, and a phone number in case we have questions. If you intend to send a substitute participant in your place, please give us their name and phone number/e-mail so that we can send them the required paperwork.
Jeff Johnson Workshop Scholarship Fund
The Oregon Department of Fish and Wildlife’s Outdoor Skills Education Program is happy to announce the Jeff Johnson Workshop Scholarship Fund. The scholarship fund is there to help those people who are not capable of attending a workshop due to financial hardship. It will pay a portion of your fee.
Jeff Johnson was a dedicated instructor for our program and committed a great deal of his time passing his knowledge on to others. In this spirit of giving, the Jeff Johnson Scholarship Fund continues to give when Jeff cannot.
