Visitors are welcome at the Oregon Hatchery Research Center, which is located on Fall Creek, just outside of the community of Alsea.
Depending on the time of year and the current research projects taking place, visitors may see fish being studied in the artificial streams or the tank farm, or fish spawning in nearby Fall Creek. And there are always some fish in the concrete raceways.
The center also has become a popular outdoor classroom for both college classes from Oregon State University and nearby grade and high schools.
