Pinehollow Reservoir

Getting There: From The Dalles on I-84, follow Hwy 197 to Tygh Valley. Turn west on Wamic Market Road, then right onto Ross Road, which leads to Pinehollow Reservoir.

Fisheries: Legal-size rainbow trout and fingerlings are stocked annually and can grow to 22 inches. Bluegill and brown bullhead catfish are plentiful and largemouth bass to 5 lbs. aren’t uncommon.

Useful Information:
Look for bass along the shoreline willows. Bullheads favor the southwest corner where there are muddy shallows and submerged woody debris. Bluegill are abundant along the south shore shallows and around the docks. Bank fishing is allowed west of the south shore boat ramp, and north and south of the east shore ramp. A fishing dock at the resort is available for overnight and day-use guests.

Tackle & Techniques:
All lake-fishing techniques can be effective.

Facilities: Boat ramps and toilets at public area; swimming and fishing docks, full RV hook-up and tent camp sites, rental cabins with kitchenettes, laundry, hot showers, restrooms, boat rentals, general store with supplies and gas, and a restaurant at Pinehollow Resort; nearest public campground is at Rock Creek Reservoir.

Fees: None for day use of public area; yes, for day use of facilities at Pine Hollow Resort.
