Expo Pond

Getting There: Expo Pond is one of several ponds located at the Jackson County Fairgrounds and Expo Park.  From Interstate 5 take exit 33 and head east on East Pine Street.

Fisheries: Offers early season fishing on stocked rainbow trout, followed by good fishing for warmwater fish species through the summer and fall. Legal size rainbow trout arestocked from February through early June and are usually available into July. As the pond warms in the spring and summer, anglers begin to target largemouth bass, bluegill, black crappie, and brown bullhead. A free fishing day event targeting youth is held annually in early June; fishing poles and bait are provided.

Facilities: Expo Pond offers an earthen berm that bisects the pond for improved angler access. A graded area at the northwest corner of the pond provides the easiest access for anglers of all abilities. No restrooms or other improvements are available at this time, but improvements are planned through a project being undertaken by the Disabilities Recreation Project.
