At this time we are enrolling new landowners in both the Willamette Valley and the Columbia Basin.

Background Information

Oregon Open Fields is a grant that the A&H Program has been awarded from the US Department of Agriculture’s (USDA) Farm Service Agency (FSA) through the new Voluntary Public Access and Habitat Incentive Program. Part of the 2008 Farm Bill, this program provides block grants to state agencies and tribes to increase public hunting access to private land and improve wildlife habitat on enrolled lands.

The A&H Program has been awarded funding for the first two years of a three-year grant. Year 3 funding has been awarded conditional on availability of federal funds. The A&H Board and the Fish and Wildlife Commission have approved expenditure of Year 1 funding only.
