NEWPORT –The Oregon Department of Fish and Wildlife Crab Pot Buoy Tag Replacement Advisory Board will meet via conference call at noon-1:00 p.m. on Monday, Apr. 2 to consider a request.
The Advisory Board will consider a request by Steve Dziubak for replacement buoy tags. The Advisory Board then makes a recommendation to the director on whether the loss of the pots was due to an extraordinary event and could have been avoided with the exercise of reasonable diligence.
The board is made up of Chuck Thompson, of Warrenton; Paul Heikkila, of Coquille; Tom McAdams, of Newport, and Frank Tarabochia, of Astoria. It was formed to advise the ODFW director regarding commercial crab pot buoy tag replacement requests for unavoidable loss due to an extraordinary event.
