CORVALLIS, Ore.-Researchers ask boaters to take a brief online survey to share their ideas about boating and aquatic invasive species. The survey through Sept. 10, 2012 on is available on the SurveyMonkey website, http://www.surveymonkey.com/s/AISboater
This survey is part of a research project entitled "Regulatory and Outreach Strategies for Aquatic invasive Species" that is being led by Oregon Sea Grant, Oregon State Marine Board, Oregon Department of Fish and Wildlife and the Oregon Invasive Species Council. Aquatic invasive plants and animals negatively impact water resources that boaters use. The goal of the survey is to obtain boater input on invasive species issues, laws, actions to take, and ideas to improve invasive species prevention.
If you have any questions, or if you would like a paper copy of the survey, contact Dr. Sam Chan at samuel.chan@oregonstate.edu. The National Sea Grant Law Center and the Oregon State Marine Board funded this research. |
