Umpqua River mouth to Scottsburg opens to wild coho harvest

September 12, 2013

ROSEBURG, Ore. – The Umpqua River from the mouth to Scottsburg Bridge is open to wild coho salmon harvest Sept. 15 – Nov. 30. This marks the third year for a wild coho fishery on the Umpqua.

The bag limit is one wild coho daily and two season in aggregate with other rivers that have a two wild coho season limit. Those rivers include Coos, Coquille, Floras Creek, New River, Siuslaw, Alsea, Beaver Creek, Yaquina and Siletz.
