SALEM, Ore. — The Oregon Department of Fish and Wildlife’s Fish Restoration and Enhancement Board will meet on Thursday and Friday, June 5-6 in Sisters.
The committee will meet on June 5 from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. at the Best Western Ponderosa Lodge, Ponderosa Room, 505 U.S. 20, Sisters, Ore. to discuss board-related business including program budgeting, project related administrative expenses, the application review process, and the 2015-17 schedule.
The meeting will continue on June 6 from 8 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. at the Sisters-Camp Sherman RFPD, Community Hall, 301 South Elm Street, Sisters, Ore. to review 22 project proposals. The agenda is available at http://www.dfw.state.or.us/fish/RE/board_schedule.asp and includes a list of projects to be considered. The meeting is open to the public, and there will be an opportunity for public comment.
On Saturday, June 7, from 8:00 a.m. to noon, the Board will tour projects along the Metolious River. Members of the public may accompany the group but must provide their own transportation. For additional information on the field trip, contact R and E Program staff at (503) 947-6232.

Created by the Oregon Legislature in 1989, the Fish Restoration and Enhancement Program is funded by a surcharge on sport and commercial fishing licenses and commercial poundage fees. The program’s seven-member citizen board reviews fish restoration and enhancement project proposals and makes funding recommendations to the Oregon Fish and Wildlife Commission.
