- Residents and non-residents may purchase auction tags.
- Individuals may bid as a representative of the tag buyer, but the tag holder must be identified at the conclusion of the auction event.
- All auction tags are in addition to controlled and general season tags.
- Individuals may only purchase one auction tag per year for each species.
- Purchasers of deer and elk auction tags must have a valid Oregon hunting license before the tag can be issued.
- Purchasers of bighorn sheep, pronghorn antelope, or Rocky Mountain goat auction tags will be issued a Oregon hunting license free of charge.
- Bids will be accepted at each auction event in person or over the phone.
- Contact the auction event contact listed in the Oregon Big Game Regulations prior to the event to arrange to bid by phone.
- Payment for winning bids will be made to the auction organization. The organization will then forward 90% of the payment to ODFW.
- Deer and elk auction tags will be issued in June after all tags have been auctioned.
