Cedar Creek Hatchery

Cedar Creek

Best time to visit: June - March for adult chinook salmon and steelhead.

Fish raised: Salmon and steelhead and trophy sized Rainbow trout.

What to see and do

At the hatchery: Adult steelhead and Chinook salmon are available for viewing in the holding ponds from July trough February. Self guided tours are welcome from 8:00 A.M. to 4:00 P.M. Group tours should be pre-arranged by calling the phone number below.

Nearby: Hebo Lake offers fishing and camping opportunities. Fishing, crabbing and clamming in the local rivers and bays is very popular. The “Three Capes scenic drive” along the coast provides spectacular views and hiking opportunities. Mount Hebo, located 8 miles from the hatchery, provides panoramic views of several coastal communities and the Pacific Ocean. Visitors can also view eagles, ospreys, herons, cormorants and mergansers in the surrounding area.
