What to see and do
At the wildlife area: Denman Wildlife Area provides water developments for migrating and nesting waterfowl as well as habitat for upland birds. The area features a self-guided interpretive trail and excellent wildlife viewing opportunities. Information and maps of the area are available at kiosks located throughout the site. Denman Wildlife Area also is a popular fishing and hunting area during appropriate seasons.
Nearby: Tou Velle State Park is adjacent to the wildlife area on the banks of the Rogue River. A boat ramp provides excellent access to the river. Fishing, swimming, hiking, picnicking and wildlife viewing are available.
Parking permit: Beginning Jan. 1, 2012, a parking permit will be required at Ken Denman Wildlife Area. Permits can be purchased at ODFW License vendors, at ODFW offices that sell licenses and online at ODFW’s website.
Directions
From I-5: Take exit 33 at Central Point. Travel east on Pine Street to Table Rock Road. Turn left (north) on Table Rock Road to E. Gregory Road. Turn left at the wildlife area headquarters sign.
From Hwy. 62: Turn onto Agate Road. Take the first left (E. Gregory Road). Proceed one mile to the wildlife area.
