E.E. Wilson Wildlife Area

Fun Facts

E.E. Wilson Wildlife Area is home to a number of plant and animal species which require special protection.

Found on the area are many animal species of concern, including the western pond turtle, yellow-breasted chat, common night hawk and bald eagle.

E. Wilson is also home to one of the largest known remaining populations of Nelson's checkermallow. This plant is Federally listed as threatened.
