Who is E. E. Wilson?

E.E. Wilson Wildlife Area

E. E. WILSON
1869-1961

The wildlife area is named after Corvallis attorney, Eddy Elbridge Wilson. E. E. Wilson, as he was generally known, was born in Corvallis on October 26, 1869 and lived his entire life as a resident of the Corvallis area.  He served at various times as city attorney and district attorney and on planning commissions.

E. E. Wilson served on the Oregon Game Commission for many years and was its chairman for ten years.  He was considered a pioneer in game preservation and throughout his life he devoted much to fish and game work.  In recognition of his years of outstanding service, the wildlife area was named for him in 1954.
