Study of Invasive Ringed Crayfish and their Impact on Native Signal Crayfish, Steelhead and Salmon

Valleys of the Rogue Watershed Council
$3,350

This project will place crayfish traps, monitor and report the distribution and impact of the ringed crayfish in our tributaries. We will accomplish this project by placing five traps each in three different tributaries; Evans Creek in Rogue River, Foots Creek in Gold Hill and Sardine Creek in Gold Hill. Our traps will be monitored several times a day from mid May through the end of June and again in September through mid October. Our findings will be reported to the ODFW and shared with our surrounding watersheds. Our watershed will work with an advisor biologist, Ryan Battleson for specific direction in the field.
