Salmon Watch is an established 30-year program in Portland-area schools which connects students to nature through field trips, salmon spawning experiences, science learning stations, and community service projects. While Salmon Watch programming has been successful at providing students with experiential learning experiences in pristine wilderness areas, we recognize that there are important areas of growth that are necessary for us to intentionally and strategically grow our capacity to better impact our community.
