SEASIDE — The public is invited to attend the next meeting of the Oregon Department of Fish and Wildlife’s Access and Habitat Board, Tues., April 22 at the Holiday Inn Express, 34 Holladay Dr., Seaside. The meeting will begin at 9 a.m. and adjourns at 4:00 p.m.
The A&H Program is funded by a $2 surcharge on hunting licenses. Funds raised by the program are distributed through grants to individual and corporate landowners, conservation organizations and others for cooperative wildlife habitat improvement and hunter access projects throughout the state.
The meeting agenda includes a review of the latest Access and Habitat grant proposals, updates on the program budget, legislative activities, 2009 auction and raffle tag allocations and other program business.
An opportunity for public comment will be provided at 11:25 a.m. A teleconference line is also available for members of the public who wish to participate in the meeting, but who cannot attend in person.

A field trip to view local projects funded by the A&H Program is scheduled for Mon., April 21 from 9:45 a.m. to 5 p.m. Members of the public may accompany the group using their own transportation; meet at the Holiday Inn by 9:40 a.m.
