Conservation Grant Accounting and Recordkeeping

The following information is intended to help recipients administer their federal grants, such as those funded under the State Wildlife Grant Program.

Projects are funded by the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service (USFWS). As grantee, ODFW is responsible for administering the grant and making sure the project is conducted in compliance with federal and state regulations. ODFW has passed on those requirements to organizations in an executed grant agreement for projects. The purpose of the accounting and recordkeeping forms and instructions is to ensure that funds and match credit are applied appropriately to the project and that adequate documentation is supplied, and/or retained by your organization. Expenditures should closely agree with the approved budget.
