ROSEBURG, Ore. – The Oregon Department of Fish and Wildlife (ODFW) and the Rogue SMU Fall Chinook Conservation Plan advisory committee have scheduled a Dec. 7 working meeting in Brookings that is open to the public. The meeting is 6:00 p.m. – 8:30 p.m. at the Chetco Public Library, 405 Alder Street, and the public has 10 minutes to comment at the end of the meeting.

The advisory committee will continue work on desired status for fall chinook populations in southern Oregon after reviewing ODFW’s initial preferences for the desired status. The committee also will consider implications of a planned amendment to the salmon fishery management plan in areas covered by the Pacific Fishery Management Council.
