Rogue River - dam removal

This is an epic time for the Rogue River. In the last few years, three older main stem dams -- Savage Rapids, Gold Hill and Gold Ray – have been removed resulting in 157 miles of free flowing river. A fourth dam on Elk Creek has been notched. These barrier removals, along with ongoing  habitat  protection and restoration efforts  will clearly benefit the Rogue’s fish populations.
