Solar Siting Guidance

ODFW works with regulatory bodies and solar proponents to meet the guidelines for mitigation as provided within ORS 215.446 and OAR 345-022-0060, the current rules for the siting of renewable energy projects within the state. To promote consistency within internal staff and increase communication with all parties engaged in project siting ODFW has developed Solar Siting Guidance. This document is meant to be a living document and serve as a clearinghouse for best available science in the solar siting realm. This document complements the existing Columbia Plateau Wind Siting Guidelines, and the federal Wind Energy Guidelines.

Please provide your feedback by emailing Jorden Smith, ODFW Energy Coordinator.
