Timeline

2024

February 9, 2024 – On January 27, 2024 a radio-collared male wolf was lethally removed by ODFW.  The second wolf previously documented in the Murderers Creek AKWA has not been documented for almost three months.  This area is no longer designated as an area of known wolf activity.

2023

April 18, 2023 – Two wolves, now named simply Murderers Creek wolves, were documented during the winter count.

2022

April 19, 2022 – In 2021, two wolves were documented in the area during the winter count and were not counted as a breeding pair.

February 22, 2022 – A new AKWA was designated for two wolves that appear to be resident west of Hwy 395
