HINES, Ore. -- The Oregon Department of Fish and Wildlife will host a public meeting on Thursday, April 19 to describe and discuss proposals for new fishing regulations on the Owyhee River and other area water bodies.
The meeting will begin at 7 p.m. MST at the Malheur County Library, 388 SW 2nd Ave., Ontario 97914.
The meeting is a part of the public process ODFW conducts every four years that invites the public to submit their own proposals for fishing regulations. ODFW staff will present public proposals for local and statewide regulations, as well as proposals made by agency staff.
Fishery managers also will discuss management issues related to the proposed regulation changes and invite comment from proposal sponsors and other interested anglers.
Copies of public and agency proposals will be available on the ODFW website, https://www.dfw.state.or.us/resources/fishing/fishing_regs_public_process.asp, beginning April 17. |
