SALEM, Ore. – The Oregon Department of Fish and Wildlife announces photo contest winners in five categories: fishing, hunting, crabbing, clamming and wildlife viewing. Each winner will receive a $50 gift card to Cabela’s.
Two hundred forty photos met eligibility requirements and many of them will be showcased in the future on ODFW’s website, in promotional materials and on social media channels. See winning photos and several runner-up photos on ODFW’s website.
Fishing
Greg Yamada, Eugene, entered a self-portrait titled “Fly-fishing the South Fork McKenzie River”.
Hunting
Timothy Mazac Jr. of Nyssa submitted a photo of himself and a friend with the mule deer bucks they took during an Eastern Oregon public land archery hunt.
Crabbing
Meghan O'Connell, Washington D.C., photographed her father, Tim O'Connell of Portland, as he hauled in a ring of Dungeness crabs at Netarts Bay.
Clamming
Jerry Alto captured his grandson, Odin, showing off his first-ever razor clam at Gearhart Beach.
Wildlife Viewing
Tim Moore, Cloverdale, snapped a photo of dunlin while hiking to the mouth of the Nestucca River from Bob Straub State Park.
