SALEM, Ore.— Applications are now being accepted for a new director for the Oregon Department of Fish and Wildlife. The Fish and Wildlife Commission is conducting a national search to fill the agency’s top position.
“We’re looking for an exceptional leader for the department,” said Commission Chair Bobby Levy. “ODFW’s wide-ranging responsibilities touch so many people--the next director must have the ability to find common ground with Oregonians who are interested in fish, wildlife and their habitats.”
Applications will be accepted through December 5, 2014. The application, a complete job description, and additional information on the position can be found at www.dfw.state.or.us/agency/director_recruitment.asp.
The Oregon Department of Administrative Services (DAS) is coordinating the recruitment process.
Finalists for the position will be interviewed by the Commission at its February 13, 2015 meeting. The public will have the opportunity to meet finalists for the position at a public meeting in Salem on February 12, 2015. The recruitment plan, outlining the process and timeline, is available on the ODFW website.
