SALEM, Ore.—The Access and Habitat Board meets Oct. 20 and 21 in Hines and Burns and members of the public are welcome at the meeting and field tour.
On Oct. 20, the Board will go on a field tour of the Buzzard Fire and Coleman Research plots, the Alvord and Kueny Access Area plus the Miller Homestead Fire Rehabilitation project if time permits. To join the tour, be at the hotel lobby at the Rory and Ryan Best Western (534 US 20, Hines) no later than 8 a.m. and be ready to provide your own transportation and lunch.
The Oct. 21 meeting is scheduled for 8 a.m.-noon at the Harney County Chamber of Commerce (484 North Broadway, Burns). Topics include reports from the board and state A&H coordinator, appointment of a member to the Southwest Region A&H Council, regional reports and more. An opportunity for public comment is scheduled for 9:45 a.m.
