SALEM, Ore. – The Oregon Fish and Wildlife Commission will meet via teleconference at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 23 to consider the appointment of an Interim Director for the Oregon Department of Fish and Wildlife. The meeting will be held at ODFW headquarters at 4034 Fairview Industrial Dr. SE in Salem.
The Interim Director will serve until the Commission hires a new permanent replacement for outgoing Director Roy Elicker. Elicker retires from ODFW this month to accept a position with the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service. The Commission will address the hiring process for a permanent Director at its next regular meeting on Oct. 10 in Medford.
