CENTRAL POINT, Ore. – Enjoy a day of fishing at the Family Fishing event Saturday, May 2 at Reinhart Volunteer Park Pond in Grants Pass from 9 a.m. – 2:30 p.m. The pond is stocked with rainbow trout, including 200 in the 12 to 14-inch range that will be stocked the day before the event.

Rods, reels, tackle and bait are provide by the Oregon Department of Fish and Wildlife to make learning how to catch fish as fun and easy as possible. Crater Bass Club volunteers and ODFW staff can help with everything from baiting and casting a rod to catching and cleaning fish.

Anglers ages 14 – 17 need a juvenile fishing license while those 13 and under can fish for free. Anyone 18 and older needs an adult license. All state fishing regulations apply. ODFW partners with the Crater Bass Club to host this free event.
