NEWPORT, Ore. – The Oregon Department of Fish and Wildlife will host a public meeting on the recreational Pacific halibut fisheries on Oct. 4 in Newport at the ODFW Marine Resources Program conference room, 2040 SE Marine Science Dr.
The meeting begins at 6 p.m., and will seek input on several changes proposed by the Pacific Fishery Management Council to the 2017 recreational Pacific halibut fisheries. The meeting will be webcast with webcast details available by Friday, Sept. 30 on the sport halibut webpage at: https://www.dfw.state.or.us/MRP/finfish/halibut/index.asp.
For those who cannot attend the meeting in person or via the webcast, an online survey and the meeting background materials will also be available Friday, September 30 on the sport halibut webpage.
