SALEM, Ore. - Oregon's Fish Passage Task Force will meet Friday, Oct. 19 at the ODFW Headquarters Commission Conference Room located at 4034 Fairview Industrial DR SE in Salem.
The Task Force meeting will be held from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and is open to the public (see meeting agenda online at https://www.dfw.state.or.us/fish/passage/task_force.asp). The agenda includes a new member introduction, general ODFW fish passage program updates and initiatives, updates on fish passage priority restoration projects, statewide fish passage prioritization effort, and further discussions on tide gates. A new fish passage waiver request on a Columbia County Public Works Department culvert will be presented for the Task Force’s recommendation. As with all Task Force Meetings, there is a public comment period at 1:00 pm and public participation is encouraged.
The nine-member Task Force meets regularly to advise ODFW on fish passage policies and issues. Task Force members represent water users and owners-operators, fisheries and conservation interests, and the general public-at-large.
