ALSEA, Ore. – ODFW is seeking a new board member to represent Fish Habitat Restoration onvthe Oregon Hatchery Research Center Board. The successful candidate will serve a four-year term.
Candidatesvmust submit an application and provide three references by Nov. 30, 2021. ThevDirector of ODFW will appoint the new member. The application is available on the ODFW web site at www.dfw.state.or.us/fish/OHRC/recruitments.asp.
ThevBoard is charged with advising the OHRC Director on operational, budget andvresearch priorities at the Center. As directed by Oregon House Bill 3441, the OHRC Board is required to include 12 members representing a variety of groupsvincluding Fish Habitat Restoration.

ThevOHRC is a cooperative endeavor of ODFW and Oregon State University. ThevCenter's mission is to be an internationally recognized leader in fisheriesvscience, conduct research to define the mechanisms that may create differencesvbetween hatchery and wild salmonids, recommend strategies to manage those differences and educate Oregonians about the benefits, risks, roles andvperformance of hatcheries in fisheries augmentation and conservation.
