NEWPORT, Ore – A Request for Proposal (RFP) for ocean acidification and hypoxia (OAH) science and messaging campaign are now open.
The Oregon Ocean Scient Trust (OOST), in consultation with the Oregon Coordinating Council on Ocean Acidification and Hypoxia (OAH Council) announced the final project in the series of RFPs, an ocean change messaging campaign which was announced Nov. 5.
This newest RFP seeks applicants who can develop a compelling and effective messaging campaign and communications toolkit to advance understanding of ocean change and generate policy support for OAH adaption, mitigation, and resiliency.
Six other proposals announced in October are focused on strategic ocean and estuarine research and monitoring to address OAH impacts and solutions here in Oregon.
Visit https://www.oostoahrfp.com to review all project RFPs including forms and other information. The deadline for all seven RFPs is Dec. 21, 2021. Proposal submissions from a wide range of applicants is encouraged.
The projects were funded by the passage of HB 3114 which provided $1 million to priority projects from the Oregon Ocean Acidification and Hypoxia Action Plan 2019-2025. For a prior news release on HB 3114 funding, click here.
