SALEM, Ore – ODFW's Fish Restoration and Enhancement Board will meet in person in Newport Thursday and Friday, Sept. 22-23.
Thursday's meeting will occur in person at the Newport Best Western Plus Agate Beach, 3019 N Coast Hwy and and via Teams from 8 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. and is open to the public. The agenda, log in information, and meeting materials are available online at https://www.dfw.state.or.us/fish/RE/board_schedule.asp The meeting includes review of five project proposals, program information and updates, and educational presentations.
Friday is a field tour, and no virtual option is available. Participants should meet at the OSU/Hatfield Marine Science Center at 9 a.m. The tour concludes at 12 p.m.

Created by the Oregon Legislature in 1989, the Fish Restoration and Enhancement Program is funded by a surcharge on sport and commercial fishing licenses and commercial poundage fees. The program's seven-member citizen board reviews fish restoration and enhancement project proposals and makes funding recommendations to the Oregon Fish and Wildlife Commission.
