Commission meets online March 22 to modify the director recruitment plan

March 21, 2024

SALEM, Ore.—The Fish and Wildlife Commission will hold a short meeting on Friday, March 22 at 4 p.m. to make minor modifications to the recruitment plan for a new ODFW director.

The meeting livestream can be accessed from the ODFW Fish and Wildlife Commission webpage.

The plan was first discussed at the Jan. 12 meeting and approved on January 26. Longtime director Curt Melcher will retire in April 2024.

A public forum to include a Q&A with final candidates will occur later in spring before the Commission votes on a new director.
