Oregon Hunter Education Instructors are volunteers from across the state who have been specifically trained to deliver hunter education courses. Each volunteer is required to complete an initial application, which includes a short knowledge test, pass a criminal and wildlife background check, and participate in a four-phase training process.
You may have heard that the Oregon Department of Fish and Wildlife is moving to a new electronic licensing system (click here to learn more). Please read this letter for information on this change and what it will mean for you as a Hunter Education instructor. Additional information can be found in the Frequently Asked Questions and the section on what it means for students.
To schedule a new class, please click on the link below and complete the form. Your class scheduling and material request will be reviewed by the Hunter Education Team. Please allow about a week for your class to be available for purchase by students in the electronic licensing system.
